Lots to do…
And, of course, not enough time. But what’s new about those facts?
The trip is getting closer. At the end of this week, as a matter of fact. Getting excited about going, but not about the 11.5 to 12 hour plane ride.
Still have a lot to prepare. Today is laundry day, and I was planning on cutting the grass, too. But the weather just doesn’t want to cooperate.
I’ve made a mental list of the things I want to take; not detailed, but in general. I guess I should write up a “real” list. I’m not taking much, but it’s all those little things that I don’t want to forget. It’s all the “accessories” to the electronics.
I still need to ‘configure’ my camera bag. I know what lenses, flash, gadgets and gizmos, I’m going to take. Still undecided on the 300mm f/2.8. Without a tripod, that is just a lot of dead weight to lug around. I think the 80-200 f/2.8, with the 1.4x, will work fine for the “long shots.” Will take the 18-200 and the 12-24 zooms. The 10.5mm f/2.8 fisheye, as well as the SB-800 will make the trip as well. I figure, with all the space left over in the carry-on, I’ll be able to throw in all the batteries and other necessities.
Not getting anything important done sitting here, so better get back to work.
